1. What job are you looking for, ideally?
2. What field of work do you want to be involved in?
3. Which organisations or businesses do you specifically want to work for?
4. What experience do you have to support your job search?
5. What else have you done in your life that you could add to this?
6. What qualifications and training would be helpful to put on your CV?
7. How will you describe the kind of person you are beyond being hardworking and loyal?
8. What makes you special alongside people who have similar experience and qualifications to you?
9. Start by writing a career objective. Describe briefly the kind of position you are looking for and the kind of employer that may be looking for someone like you. Include skills that you believe make you a good candidate.
10. Now list your experience, which can include holiday or student jobs. First provide the years you worked there. Then the name of the employer. Then the role or position you had there. Start with your most recent position and work backwards.
11. Now list relevant qualifications and training. This can include formal and informal learning, even learning you are still busy with.
12. Write a brief paragraph that describes the kind of person you are, what drives you, what you are passionate about and what you have learned about yourself and life. Add anything else that would provide insight into the kind of person you are.
13. How does your online presence help market what you do?
14. What could you do to improve your online presence?
15. Who can you ask to look at this and give you good feedback?
